What is wheel alignment (tracking)?
Wheel alignment is an important part of your vehicle's maintenance. It refers to the angles and directions that your tyres are set to. Wheel alignment involves adjusting the angles of the wheels to the recommended position as outlined by your manufacturer's specifications.
Why do I need wheel alignment?
Your wheel alignment can be misaligned from the simplest things, such as hitting a kerb (even at a slow speed) or driving at speed through a pothole.
You need your wheels to be aligned correctly otherwise; a number of issues can arise:
- Fuel consumption is increased
- Tyres wear quicker than usual
- Increased uneven wear on tyres
- Driving comfort is decreased
- There may be unseen damage to your suspension
At Reed Autos Ltd we have state-of-the-art laser wheel alignment. We would always advise that you check your wheel alignment regularly.
